Alex Conway - WikiShark Co-Author Joins Y Combinator

The entire team at WikiShark extends a huge congratulations to our co-author, Alex Conway, on his acceptance into the prestigious Y Combinator program.

Alex is a professional data scientist with over a decade of experience in the tech space. In addition to working with the WikiShark team on paper publishing efforts, Alex has also developed and supported artificial intelligence solutions for a number of reputable companies including Mercedes-Benz and NTT Japan. His award-winning work has helped these firms improve machine learning and system performance to deliver optimized solutions for end users.

Y Combinator (or YC for short) is a prestigious startup accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley. YC only accepts approximately 2% of all applicants to its program, which makes Alex’s work even more impressive. Once admitted, YC startups receive a seed money grant as well as mentorship and connections to firms throughout Silicon Valley and around the world. As they work on their businesses, the startup leaders at YC are taught how to best market their products, build effective teams, and scale for growth. Notable companies that have graduated from YC include Airbnb, DoorDash, Coinbase, Dropbox, and Reddit.

At Y Combinator, Alex will be working on AiSupervision, where he is a co-founder and CTO. The AiSupervision platform is an innovative tool for owners and operators of factories and manufacturing facilities. The platform uses physical hardware and RFID technology to monitor productivity on factory floors. By tracking output in real time, it can help managers better optimize workflows while eliminating bottlenecks and pain points. AiSupervisor essentially acts as a digitized human supervisor at each work station to ensure maximum performance.

We are so excited that Alex’s hard work has been recognized, and we look forward to seeing him thrive while working on AiSupervision at YC. Cheers, Alex!
